Juventus GM Beppe Marotta is actively seeking a new defensive signing for coach Antonio Conte.
Tuttosport says Marotta has been impressed by Argentina defender Marcos Rojo and sounded out Sporting Lisbon about a price.
Sporting rate Rojo at €10 million, who can play at centre-half and left-back.
Marotta is also in regular contact with Sampdoria for their young German defender Shkodran Mustafi. A swap involving one from strike-duo Fabio Quagliarella or Mirko Vucinic has been mentioned for the former Everton junior.
