Juventus GM Marotta makes contact with Arsenal defender Gallas

Juventus are interested in Arsenal defender William Gallas.

Juve GM Beppe Marotta, while in Russia attempting to close a deal for CSKA Moscow winger Milos Krasic, has sounded out Gallas' representatives about a move to Turin.

The France international is coming off contract this month and has already rejected an offer from Panathinaikos.

Juve insiders say talks have not concluded, but Marotta is confident of closing an agreement.
