Juventus GM Beppe Marotta admits defeat in the Champions League final to Real Madrid was "the biggest disappointment".
Juve were thumped 4-1 in Cardiff.
“The most compelling victory remains the conquest of our first title in Trieste," the general manager told Il Sole 24.
“It was when the match against Cagliari was played at neutral venue. It crowned a dream, my professional dream.
“But it was even more exciting because that Scudetto was the first for Juve's new management, as well as being Antonio Conte's first as a Coach.
“After the seventh place of the previous season, our common imperative was to bring Juve back to life. And we did.
“Cardiff? It was biggest disappointment of this period, but I always keep in mind a Nelson Mandela phrase, that 'I never lose: I only win or learn.'
“From that experience, we learned a few things. We'll call it 'know-how', which is needed to win certain trophies, a mix of experience and ability to be clear-headed when it matters.
“Therefore, for us, the challenge starts again. We're even more determined."
