Juventus GM Beppe Marotta admits Gigi Buffon is struggling to make their clash with Inter Milan.

Buffon is carrying a calf injury.

Marotta said, “I hope Buffon can play against Inter this weekend. It's a precautional stop after Friday's game with Napoli, so it's only right that he goes automatically into the stands. I have faith, as the medical staff are doing everything possible.

“The extraordinary run in Serie A at this moment is of Napoli and Inter. Our results have been more or less the same as at this stage last season, in fact we have one more point, so they are the ones doing unusual things.

“The important thing is to stay close to the leading pack and then prepare for the final sprint."
