Juventus are closing in on Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Arturo Vidal.
Bayern Munich were also prime candidates, but found themselves ruled out of the race yesterday morning.
"Bayern could offer us the right price, but they won't be signing Vidal," Leverkusen director (and former Roma Coach) Rudi Voller told Kicker.
"We will only be selling him to a club outside Germany."
Juventus have leapt to the top of the list, but face strong competition from Arsenal.
