Juventus' Giorgio Chiellini said the performance of the Bianconeri against Russian club Zenit St Petersburg was a good one to make up for the Serie A loss to Inter Milan last week.

"This was very important to us, as we were still disappointed at not putting in the performance we wanted in Milan," said the defender after the 0-0 draw with Zenit.

"It was crucial to send out a sign that we are the great team we were during that run of seven consecutive victories.

"In my view we showed the right approach and hunger and we saw the real Juve back on the field again."
