Juventus signing Lucio has apologised to his former Inter Milan teammates after controversial statements made during his signing ceremony.

Lucio's claims of '30 Scudetti' for Juve angered some of his old Inter pals, though not president Massimo Moratti, who laughed off the remarks.

Inter midfielder Esteban Cambiasso revealed: "In Bari, Lucio met with us to explain his words."

Cambiasso also insisted there were no cliques inside the Inter locker room: "Players can never be more important than the coach."
