Juventus defender Chiellini welcomes Agnelli presidency

Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini has welcomed the appointment of Andrea Agnelli as new president.

The Agnelli family is synonymous with Juventus' success ever since Edoardo took the club's helm in 1923.

“After such a bad season, one of the worst in Juventus' history, we need to turn a corner and the appointment of Andrea Agnelli as President can without doubt be the first move towards starting again,” Chiellini said.

“We are a year away from the completion of our new stadium and there is a desire to create a winning team. The investments in the stadium should be accompanied by a great team.”
