Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini was happy with their point earned at AS Roma.

Juve went behind in the first few minutes when Arturo Vidal's howler allowed Daniele De Rossi to score, then equalised through Chiellini before Gigi Buffon saved a Roma penalty.

"Considering how things were going, this is an important point," said the defender after their 1-1 draw.

"We had the strength to fight back and try to win right to the end. We allowed Roma more than we should've, but overall it was a positive performance that gives strength to the side and puts us back on top of the table.

"Was this a wasted opportunity? Clearly we had come here to win and tried to do that, but everyone struggles in Rome. It's a long way from saying this is a slip-up."
