Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini has admitted frustration over his contract saga. Chiellini penned a new deal last week, but the local Players' Union are threatening not to recognise it.
"I didn't expect this pandemonium to break out, as there are no elements to my contract that are disputed by the Players' Association and the Lega Calcio," he told the Corriere dello Sport.
"In any case, I won't think about it and in fact would like to think I'll stay at Juventus beyond 2015.
"I also hope to have Alessandro Del Piero and Gigi Buffon as my teammates for a long time to come. I'm sorry that other members of the Old Guard have gone, but in football you know these things can happen.
"I was very pleased to renew the contract and it was what I wanted. I'm very tied to this jersey, partly because of all the things we've been through together.
"Now the objective is to win, though not necessarily right away, even if we mustn't rule anything out."
