Juventus are closing in on Liverpool attacker Dirk Kuyt.

Gazzetta dello Sport says Juve made an attempt to sign Kuyt in January and are convinced the Dutchman wants a move to Turin in the summer with less than 18 months to run on his existing contract.

Reds boss Rafa Benitez has been tabled a bumper £4 million-a-year contract offer by Juve and his representatives have discussed bringing with him Fernando Torres and Javier Mascherano to Turin.

And also in Juve's sights is Kuyt, who is said to be warming to the idea of moving to Italy.
