Juventus are confident closing a deal for Bayern Munich defender Mehdi Benatia.

Juve are in advanced talks to bring the former Roma stopper back to Italy.

Sky Italia says the Bianconeri are pushing to close a deal for Benatia this week. Juve management hope to have him signed up before preseason officially kicks off.

Benatia has already given his approval to the switch.

Juve will aim to strike terms with Bayern for a fee in the region of €18 million.
