Juventus coach Alberto Zaccheroni hopes victory over Atalanta goes some way to winning back the fans.
Alessandro del Piero and a late effort from Felipe Melo earned the points for Juve.
"I expected a reaction and that is what I saw," said Zaccheroni. "Our position in the table is not remotely gratifying, though."
Juve are now joint fifth with Napoli and Sampdoria, still three points adrift of Palermo in fourth.
"I understand the fans and the only way to win them back is to give our all and get results. The primary objective has to be getting players fit again, as we prepare a match and end up a few hours beforehand missing three or four elements."
