Juventus coach Antonio Conte explained leaving out Andrea Pirlo from yesterday's bitter derby win over Torino.

Pirlo missed the 1-0 win as Conte went for different options in midfield.

"Arturo Vidal was marked by Omar El Kaddouri, so I moved Pogba to make his physicality felt. The goal changed it and we moved to a 4-3-3, putting Simone Padoin in a more advanced position with Mirko Vucinic and Tevez.

"Pirlo is unique and inimitable, so without him we lose in quality and gain in physicality. I had to rotate the squad with so many games coming up. I have faith in the squad."
