Juventus are close to a deal for Palermo defender Andrea Barzagli.

Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini initially was demanding £10 million cash for the stopper, but after receiving no takers dropped his asking price.

Juve have offered £7 million plus Nicola Legrottaglie for Barzagli. Zamparini has said 'no', but will sell should Juve replace Legrottaglie with Matteo Paro, says Gazzetta dello Sport.
