Juventus chief Secco dismisses Nedved retirement claims

Juventus chief Alessio Secco has dismissed Pavel Nedved's declaration that he will retire at season's end. "We do not believe it, we do not believe it ... Pavel has already said a thousand times that he will retire," insisted Secco. "He's said it again after returning from the Chelsea game.

"If he asked his teammates, they'd tell him straight. He has plenty of time left."

Indeed, Secco is desperate for Nedved to play on next season as he plans to have the 36 year-old help bed-in his younger replacement. A new contract has already been drawn up for the veteran, says Tuttosport.
