Juventus are chasing Liverpool striker Luis Suarez. The Daily Express says his contribution has been invaluable and steered Liverpool away from a basement battle at the bottom of the league.

But the Reds will have a battle on their hands as Chelsea and Juventus, who pursued the Uruguayan in the summer, look set to test the club's resolve with a bid.

According to sources in Italy, Juve would be willing to finance the purchase of Suarez who is valued at £28m.

Although they will not want to lay out too much due to Financial Fair Play regulations coming into force.

The opportunity of playing Champions League football may be too good for Suarez to turn down.
