Juventus are challenging Inter Milan for Schalke midfield whiz Ivan Rakitic.

Inter have already registered their interest with Schalke for the 19 year-old after director Marco Branca was in Germany last week to open talks.

However, Juve are also keen and had scouts in the stands to watch Rakitic in action against Porto on Tuesday night.

Meanwhile, AC Milan legend Zvonimir Boban said of the midfielder: "He reminds me a lot of a young Dejan Stankovic."
