Juventus captain Giorgio Chiellini was pleased with victory at Chievo Verona.
The defender admits Cristiano Ronaldo's arrival has lifted everyone inside the Bianconeri squad.
Chiellini said, "Speaking of a debut (for the captaincy) today is a bit strange, it's just the beginning of a new season.
"It's important, because we set ourselves great goals every year. And the arrival of Cristiano pushed us to go further. The first games are always insidious: we will have to put ourselves at their level of attention and concentration, then we will be able to exploit our qualities forward.
"Ronaldo? He is very well placed within the group, his enthusiasm and his great desire to win has already been transmitted."
