Juventus are weighing up bringing forward plans to sign Palermo captain Andrea Barzagli.

Juve were preparing to sign the Italy defender at the end of the season, but Tuttosport says an injury to Giorgio Chiellini has forced a rethink.

Bianconeri chiefs are now considering a January bid for Barzagli as they fear being caught short in defence as they push for Champions League qualification this season.
