Juventus board urged to consider Liverpool boss Benitez

A section of the influential Turin media are pushing Rafa Benitez's candidacy for the Juventus job.

Ciro Ferrara is under huge pressure at Juve after elimination from the Champions League and dismal defeats to the likes of Catania.

Benitez, who speaks fluent Italian, and is a big fan of Serie A, is now being pushed to succeed Ferrara by Tuttosport.

Benitez insists he is committed to his contract at Liverpool, but Juve can expect smooth negotiations should they come knocking for the Spaniard in 2010.

For now, the Turin press say Ferrara is safe until the first games of 2010, which include a critical clash with David Beckham's AC Milan.
