Juventus approach Chelsea for Bridge

Juventus have made a formal approach to Chelsea for left-back Wayne Bridge.

The Daily Mail says Juve coach Claudio Ranieri, who signed Bridge from Southampton when he was Chelsea manager, contacted Stamford Bridge chief executive Peter Kenyon last week.

Liverpool, West Ham and Tottenham have a long-standing interest in the England defender but Chelsea have yet to indicate whether they will let the 27-year-old go.
