Juventus angry with Italy chief Oriali

Juventus are angry with Italy team manager Gabriele Oriali.

Oriali has complained over Juve's decision to recall injured defender Giorgio Chiellini from the Italy squad.

Juve said in a statement: "After the confused issue around Giorgio Chiellini's release from international duty, Juventus Football Club wish to reaffirm the pledge to collaborate with the Italian Federation, as it historically has done for over a century.

"The statement released on the player last night and the allusive comments from the team manager, Gabriele Oriali, do not change this orientation.

"We cannot enter into open contrast with common sense, nor with the recovery needs of an injured player who cannot be used for the qualifying match in Norway, the closing moment of this Nazionale get-together."
