Italian Serie A club Juventus and Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua have entered a feeder club agreement. The Turin-based club are keen to extend their interests into Asia and have begun by joining forces with Shanghai who have links with A-League club Sydney FC.
The first example of this arrangement is that of young Shanghai defender Yang Yun who will be given a trial with Juventus.
"Yun will make interest in Juventus grow in China, this boy will become a valid instrument of communication between the two countries," Yun's agent Oberto Petricca said.
"It's important for Chinese footballers to get to know a more professional reality. Shanghai Shenhua are a dynamic club that already has links with Sydney United. They are open to links abroad."
