Pavel Nedved says former Juventus teammate Zlatan Ibrahimovic is destined to win the Ballon d'Or or FIFA's World Player of the Year.
Juve midfielder Nedved said of the Inter Milan striker: "Unfortunately he is no longer with us, but on the other side.
"For a long time he's been capable of making the difference in games. I know him well and he is predestined to sooner or later win a major trophy on a personal level.
"He is on track."
On this weekend's clash, Nedved added: "It's the Italian derby, a game every player wants to play in. But it is only for three points, nothing more. They do not give out trophies at this stage of the season."

some may say Ibrahimovic doesn't deserve footballer of the year because of cards. But Ronaldo has shown he is a malicious player. his pointless lunges at players for revenge show this. take the man city game from two years ago, and from recently. and his red card against England. he is ridiculous, a big baby. he is good, but he gets cards just as often as Ibra, or more.
People say Ibrahimovic can't win because of his temper... While Ronaldo, although he is a great player, has shown he is a malicious player. he lunges at people not really for the ball sometimes, but for revenge. take man city derby '06. and now man city recently. that red card was preposterous. What was he doing?
I will openly admit that Zlatan is a world class striker but if he continues his current trend I have doubt that he will receive any major player awards simply due to his temper. The amount of cards that he receives is astounding when you consider he is a forward, and for that point I do not believe he will gain the awards voted on by the press no ones give directly by the FIFA board.
