Former Middlesbrough star Juninho has backed the decision to sell Yakubu Aiyegbeni to Everton.

"To become a better club, Boro need to keep their best players. Mark Viduka and Yakubu were two of them, but to get £11m for Yakubu is good business," said Juninho.

"Now they have brought in another striker at his level in Mido, for less money [£6.8m], who will improve the team.''
