Julio Cesar is backing Inter Milan's move for Ramires.
The Jiangsu Suning midfielder is a loan target for Inter.
Cesar, who has played with Ramires while on international duty with Brazil, believes the 30-year-old will prove a valuable addition to Luciano Spalletti's squad.
“He's an animal, in a good sense," free-agent Cesar said.
“It's been a while since I saw him play, but the midfielder I remember was always there and you'd find him anywhere because he never got tired.
“In our national team he was the player who ran the most, at least 11 or 12 kilometres per match."
The shot-stopper was asked whether he believes Ramires, who has spent two years in China, headed to the Far East too early on in his career.
“Maybe he did, but we are saying that now with hindsight.
“What matters is the moment at which you make the decision and nobody knows what was in Ramires' head or life at that time.
“But if he's coming back to Europe now, it definitely shows that he has something more to give – something that can help Inter."
