Bayer Leverkusen defender Juan admits he welcomes interest from Roma.

The Brazil international is a target for Roma directors Daniele Prade and Bruno Conti and could arrive as a replacement for Inter Milan target Cristian Chivu.

Juan said: "Roma appeals to me, I'm ready for a new adventure.

"I feel the need to have a new experience, in Italy or Spain. Roma? It's a club well known in Brazil, it would appeal to me to play there. Doni has only told me good things about them.

"In fact, Aldair was a hero of mine as I grew up."
