Fiorentina star Juan Guillermo Cuadrado isn't giving up hope of moving to Barcelona.Sport says Manchester United have made the most concrete push for the Colombia international in recent days, but he's delaying a decision in the hope Barca show their hand.
Barca have been in regular contact with Cuadrado's agent, Alessandro Lucci, since January and were confident of signing the wing-back this summer.
But his World Cup form has moved the goal posts - as far as Fiorentina were concerned - and hiked up his valuation.
Now, United have tabled the far superior offer for Cuadrado, who did agree personal terms with Barca before Brazil 2014.
And it is not only United's greater spending power which is a problem for Barca. With Daniel Alves failing to find a new club, sports director Andoni Zubizarreta cannot justify having both the Brazilian and Cuadrado on massive wages competing for the same position this new season.
