Stevan Jovetic struck a late equaliser for Fiorentina to send them through to the Champions League proper after their 1-1 draw with Sporting Lisbon last night.

Jovetic came off the bench to strike late on after Fiorentina were trailing to a Joao Moutinho free-kick.

Fiorentina coach Cesare Prandelli said: "Let's overturn this suffering, but these victories are important to us, it's all good experience.

"What did I say in the locker room? Nothing major, just that we had been preparing for months for this game and struggling to do well. "
