Jovetic insists he is happy at Fiorentina

Stevan Jovetic is ready to sign a new deal with Fiorentina.

The young forward denies reports he was unsettled in January after Fiorentina attempted to sign Sampdoria ace Antonio Cassano on-loan.

“Everyone said that I was angry, but I never was and I have never spoken about this with journalists or with the club," said Jovetic.

“Sure, Cassano is a formidable player, but I never said that I would leave.

“I am ready to sign a new contract. I am very happy here. It's a fantastic city with a group of fans who know how to make you fall in love.

“If they want to extend my contract that suits me fine and this proposal would be of great significance.

“If Fiorentina have taken this decision, if they want to focus on me, it means that they are satisfied with my work and my commitment.”
