Milan Jovanovic says the Liverpool players all hold manager Kenny Dalglish in high esteem.
There were concerns many of the players wouldn't have been aware of Dalglish's status in the game.
But Jovanovic told LFC Weekly: "He is the club's biggest player. He scored 172 goals in 515 games; I have read all about him.
"Five times he won the league as a player and as a player-manager he won it three times, plus two cups. He won the European Cup three times as a player too, he was fantastic.
"I have only worked with him for a short time. But you can see he is a special person. He is very positive. That is very important. If you are positive all the people around you start to be positive too. I'm sure he will be very successful again."
