Jose Mari is seeking a move away from Villarreal.
The former AC Milan and Atletico Madrid striker's agent, Fermin Gutierrez, said: "The club hasn't told us they won't be counting on Jose Mari this season. But the player wants minutes and if he can't get them at Villarreal we must find another club."
