The son of Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has told fans to stop following him on social media.

Jose Jnr, a former Fulham goalkeeper, had told fans to stop bombarding him with barbs about his father.

He wrote: "Gonna try to make this as clear as possible, and I get this a lot on all my social media.

"The reason why I don't post often on twitter is because I get a lot of people commenting like, “tell your dad this and that" “your dad this/your dad that"...This happens on instagram as well.

"If you are on my social media because of my dad, unfollow me now, if you actually care about my life and want to see more pictures, and want more tweets and are here for me, perfect.

"If I see any comments about my dad, Man Utd, or anything remotely related to football you will be blocked. Thank you to everyone who follows me for what I post."
