Jordon Ibe is delighted with the way he's kicked off the season with Liverpool.
Ibe and left-back Joe Gomez have started both games while millions of pounds of talent have been left out by Rodgers including Lazar Markovic, Divock Origi and Mario Balotelli.
"As everyone knows, the gaffer gives a chance to everyone. If you prove yourself in pre-season and training sessions you will get a chance to play whether you are a senior player or someone who's 18 like Joe Gomez, who has done well," he told the Mail on Sunday.
"Our new signings have been great for us. They are all young, like me. They are all hungry to do well and it feels like a fresh start.
"Personally, I think I can do much better than in the first couple of games, especially attacking the full-back. But it has given me confidence to replace Raheem in the team. He is a great player and I aspire to achieve the things he has, because we both came up through the Academy."
