Jordi Cases drops legal action against Barcelona over Neymar fee

Barcelona member Jordi Cases has ended his legal action against the club over Neymar's transfer fee.

Marca reports In a letter to president Josep Maria Bartomeu, member number 57,819 revealed that he has not observed "criminal behaviour in corporate or accounting terms, misappropriation of funds, nor do I question the agency contracts and the endorsed services".

The Catalan club have promised not to take legal action against the member, a requirement that was initially met reluctantly. Bartomeu has shown his satisfaction in the light of the decision.

"I can do nothing but celebrate the evidence that the club have not engaged in any criminal activity," he stated.

Cases has thanked the Barcelona board of directors for the change in their stance: "As a club member I am sorry that my request for information was not seen to efficiently and I applaud the current call for transparency shown by the board which you head, as demonstrated at the recent Ordinary General Assembly on 18th October."
