Jordan have beaten Uzbekistan in a penalty shootout to keep their World Cup hopes alive.
The Jordanians were held to a 1-1 draw by the Uzbeks in Amman on Saturday before the same scoreline was achieved in Tashkent on Tuesday night.
Anzur Ismailov opened the scoring for Uzbekistan in the fifth minute before Saeed Al Murjan levelled for the home side three minutes before half-time.
Neither side could edge ahead in a tense second half, taking the game to extra-time, which was delayed at one point due to failing floodlights.
In the end, however, Jordan ran out victors 9-8 on penalties to book their playoff spot against South America's fifth-placed side later this year.
