Liverpool No2 Colin Pascoe says international week allowed the club to promote several youngsters to first team training.

For the likes of 16-year-old Jordan Rossiter and Jack Dunn, it represents an invaluable opportunity for them to train alongside the likes of Lucas and Philippe Coutinho.

"We bring the young kids in from the U21 squad to make the numbers up and train with the lads who are not on international duty," said Pascoe to liverpoolfc.com.

"It is fantastic for them to experience Melwood and they can learn so much training with the senior players."
