Jordan football authorities renew sponsorship deal

PepsiCo-Jordan has renewed its sponsorship deal with the Jordan Football Association, the country's governing body for soccer, reports SportsPro. The three-year agreement, signed on Sunday, sees PepsiCo continue its support of the various Jordanian national teams, as well as other JFA activities such as the operation of 28 national training centres and the body's youth competition, the PepsiCo Football League for the Gifted.

PepsiCo-Jordan has been a JFA partner since 2009, with its water brand Aquafina serving as the official drinking water of the body.

"Our longstanding partnership with JFA has yielded proud results, most notable of which is the success of the PepsiCo Football League for the Gifted in motivating talented football players to develop their skills and gain a competitive edge," said PepsiCo-Jordan's general manager Nidal Hamam.

JFA secretary general Khalil Al-Salem added: "PepsiCo-Jordan has proven itself as a staunch supporter of youth and their interests, particularly in the area of sports. This year, we look forward to reaching new heights of success and unveiling fresh athletic talent across the Kingdom.

"On behalf of JFA, I would like to thank PepsiCo-Jordan for its unwavering commitment and for playing a positive role in this regard."
