Eggert Jonsson has agreed a deal with Premier League club Wolves as the expected Heart of Midlothian exodus begins.
The 23-year old Iceland international has agreed a three-and-a-half-year deal with the Molineux outfit who will pay Hearts a transfer fee of just £200,000.
Jonsson, who joined Hearts in 2005, was under contract until the summer but has now departed Tynecastle and is looking forward to a new challenge at Wolves.
"I've been up in Scotland for a long time and feel ready to take the next step.
"Wolves is a great club for me to do that, so hopefully I can get in to the team and keep improving. I've been at Hearts for a number of years and have got a lot of friends there, so it is sad to be leaving them behind, but I've enjoyed my time there.""I'm looking forward to getting started, getting into training and then fighting to get into the team," Jonsson said. "It's all happened quickly, and as soon as I knew of Wolves' interest I was really excited and saw it as a great opportunity.
