Jongkind: Man City boss Guardiola methods more Dutch than what we're doing in Holland

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is getting involved in a new Dutch soccer school.

Wim Jonk and Ruben Jongkind, supported by Cruyff Football, are rolling out new soccer schools based on Johan Cruyff's approach to the game.

"We've been to see Pep Guardiola, who only talks about Johan," Jongkind told Volkskrant. "When we talked about his approach and training methods, he said: 'If you have a USB stick, I will put it on for a while'.

"Do you know how many exercises that were on it? Seven, that is the basis of Cruyff.

"We add the thoughts of modern times. If you roll out that basic idea and make it practical for training, you have the Dutch school, in the Netherlands we have deviated from it. The Dutch school and what is happening now are two different things."
