Kenwyne Jones says Sunderland haven't been good enough in recent weeks as they risk dropping into the bottom three.
The Trinidad & Tobago star said: "I'm not surprised we're in this position. We only have ourselves to blame because we've got slack in the last few weeks.
"We're not doing the things that we normally do and it's cost us. I can't see us going down, but every game's now crucial.
"But we need to up the ante to get us out of this situation because we've been a bit down on our performances from last year."
