Burnley midfielder David Jones has heaped praise on veteran defender Michael Duff for his fine performances in recent times.
Following a run of 14 matches without a single clean sheet, Burnley have managed two shut outs in their last three matches and such displays at the back have helped the Clarets pick up four valuable points.
The Clarets fine form at the back has coincided with the return of Duff which has not been lost on Jones who has hailed the veteran defender for his commitment in keeping himself fit despite his advancing years.
"Duffo trains hard every day, there was never going to be a question of fitness and he's got the experience that his appearances and his age gives you," Jones told the Lancashire Telegraph.
"He's a clever footballer, he knows what he's doing out there and he's brought some solidity to us when he's played. The way the manager works, every player knows what they're doing even if they're out of the team. That's how the manager wants it - that when a player comes in, they can fit back in straight away."
