Brad Jones grabbed a rare start with both hands as he kept a clean sheet in Middlesbrough's 0-0 draw with Blackburn. The 26-year old goalkeeper came in to replace regular number one Ross Turnbull and his efforts were praised by 'Boro manager Gareth Southgate.
"I thought Brad Jones in goal has made some fantastic saves for us to make sure we got the point in the end," Southgate said.
Blackburn boss Sam Allardyce also pointed out the performance of Jones.
"The keeper has pulled off some good saves today," he said.
"We got probably the best chance of the game right at the very end. Jason Roberts' header but I have to say it was a terrific save."
