Reports suggest that Manchester United will not be signing Victor Lindelof during the January transfer window.
United have been widely linked with a move for Benfica defender Lindelof this month and various reports have claimed that the Red Devils are on the verge of sealing a £38million transfer for the Swedish international.
However, journalist Simon Stone has gone on to reveal that the Red Devils will not be signing Lindelof during the current transfer window and this is due to the fact that Phil Jones has managed to establish himself as a key first team member under Jose Mourinho recently.
Stone said on BBC Radio 5 live: "It [Jones' re-emergence] has [ended Manchester United's interest in Lindelof], that's the information that we keep being told.
"There is a lot of reports still about Lindelof in Portugal.
"But the word from here is that Manchester United have not bid and won't be bidding."
