Wolves midfielder David Jones sees his current deal expire in the summer, but his preference is to remain at Molineux. The former Manchester United youngster has been in fine form for the Black Country outfit, which has sparked interest in the 25-year-old as clubs prepare to enter the transfer market in January.
Jones told skysports.com that he is hoping to sign a new contract to remain at Molineux in the New Year.
"We had a lot of talks about it over the summer and came to an agreement to put them on hold until Christmas time to allow both myself and the manager to focus solely on the football," he said.
"I am enjoying my time here at Wolves and have done since joining the club and it would be good if we can get something sorted out.
"At the moment I am just focusing on playing football because there is nothing I can do about it until those talks resume.
"It is out of my mind at the minute, but we will go back into discussion about it at some point, I am sure."
