Jonas Gutierrez is delighted Newcastle United have secured skipper Fabricio Coloccini.

The winger feels the new deal is good for Newcastle and Argentina.

Gutiérrez said: "It is great news for the fans and the club our 'capitano' will stay at Newcastle.

"I enjoy playing in the same team as him and of course even more because he is Argentinian.

"It is good to have Argentina at Newcastle once again. I am happy with that."
