Jol willing to work closer with Fulham academy

Fulham boss Martin Jol is ready to work closer with the club's academy after a series of meetings with staff.

Fulham boss Martin Jol is ready to work closer with the club's academy after a series of meetings with staff.

The Daily Mail says there is now renewed hope that Jol is ready to look to the club's academy to halt their alarming slide down the table.

Jol meets with academy director Huw Jennings every fortnight, while a clutch of the club's best youngsters - including Moussa Dembele and Buomesca Tue Na Banga - are integrated into first-team training at their Motspur Park HQ at the start of the week.

Given the club's current predicament, there's a feeling the leading academy players should be given more first-team opportunities, which so far has not been forthcoming.
