Sacked Fulham boss Martin Jol wanted to buy the club's infamous Michael Jackson statue.
The Daily Mail says the sculpture has been in a warehouse owned by former owner Mohamed Al Fayed, a close friend of Jackson, since it was taken down last September from its prominent Thames-side location at Craven Cottage.
Jol has an eclectic art collection and made it clear he was prepared to pay £20,000 to have Jacko in his garden. But preliminary talks stopped after Jol was sacked last December.
It will now find a new home at Manchester's National Football Museum.
