Fulham boss Martin Jol is set to offer a Craven Cottage return to free agent Steed Malbranque.

The People says Jol will re-ignite his interest in Malbranque after the midfield man terminated his contract with French club St Etienne.

Jol, who signed Malbranque from Fulham for Spurs in 2006, had enquired about signing the Frenchman this summer and will look into the option again now the player is a free agent.

He was a firm favourite at Fulham for five years as the London club established themselves in the Premier League.
